Intracellular signaling pathways in the immune cells Lead Investigator: Rosemary Fernandez Institution : Stanford E-Mail : rfernan@stanford.edu Proposal ID : 940 Proposal Description: I will be using the PBMCs from AD patients and Healthy Control to interrogate intracellular signaling pathways in the immune cells using a mass cytometry assay. This assay will have the ability to assess the function of a range of cytokine, antigen receptor and TLR signaling pathways in the immune cells and provide a kind of fingerprint of the state of the immune system. This Mass Cytometry or CyTOF platform allows for the parallel application of about 40+ antibodies to a single PBMC sample, creating the possibility to read out many cell types and signaling pathways within.
